Definitely one of those pages where it was a blast to draw and then when I finished I was all, “This maybe sucks.”
Now, that’s not saying that it sucks as a drawing. I’m very happy with it as a drawing. But as a comic page, I’m not sure it works or will work in the eyes of the reader. But with webcomics, one must push forward, and hopefully the page will end up working in conjunction with the page before it, and after.

I drew this big picture where all these rough and tumble dudes are roughin and tumblin. What are they fighting about? We will never know because jelly cube will clearly be the only one left standing at the end, and homeboy don’t talk much.

Joann Sfar is one of my favorite living cartoonists, author of such awesome works as The Rabbi’s Cat and Vampire Loves, as well as co-author of the amazing, incredible DUNGEON series.
